Set within a 32-acre site in County Meath, our proposal creates two modest buildings to support a new agri-tourism enterprise—bringing wellness, education and slow, seasonal living to the area. A flexible timber-frame Hub sits alongside the existing stables to house reception, lounge, dining, toilets, showers and laundry, supporting day-to-day operations and larger gatherings.
450 metres into the landscape, a modern Crannóg anchors the wider site: a simple shelter for yoga, pilates, meditation and classes in forestry, foraging and land management. Cast in-situ curving walls hold a fireside gathering space; a chimney pierces a timber roof clad in recycled hemp corrugated sheets. Rainwater is collected in a cast trough to serve nearby enclosures. Low-carbon, prefabricated timber systems are explored throughout.
