This project looks to adapt a London classic - the Victorian terraced home. The existing property shared similar issues to many terraced homes, but due to its location on Royal Hill has incredible uninterrupted views of Canary Wharf to the north.

The interiors of the Victorian home are largely retained, with new additions added to the rear at ground floor and loft levels. The new brick clad extension creates a large new Kitchen / Dining space with a better connection to the garden. A dormer oriel window has been designed to allow for the existing attic space to be used as a new bedroom / home office, framing the fantastic view of the city beyond.

A new delicate oak staircase weaves through the house topped by a large skylight, bringing light through the centre of the house throughout the year.

A rich palette of materials are proposed to patinate and improve with time.
